We are currently seeking a highly motivated Apprentice Maintenance Technician to join our Industrial Engineering team. You will play a critical role in the support and maintenance of machinery and equipment across our facility. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset will contribute to the success of team.
Duties will include:
- Support the maintenance team in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production and site equipment
- Assist with fault finding and basic repairs on mechanical and electrical systems under supervision
- Learn to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Help maintain accurate maintenance records and job logs
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times
- Assist with equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or improvement opportunities
- Support breakdown response activities as part of a wider maintenance team
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the maintenance workshop and plant areas
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Entry Requirements
We are seeking applications from candidates who have or are predicted to gain 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent). Grades must be A*-C / 9-5 for Maths and A*-C / 9-4 for English, Science and two other subjects.
Training to be Provided
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
