Information & Requirements

As a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician you ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost within high value manufacturing environments.

Typically the work would cover a broad range of duties including: Fault Diagnosis, Pneumatic, Electrical and Process Control Equipment, Installation, Commissioning and Testing.

Career Paths

This apprenticeship trains you for a variety of maintenance roles such as a Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Electronics, Fluid Power, Lift Services, Plant & Systems.

You could also move into Technical Sales, Maintenance Team Management and Contract Management.

Your employer may offer opportunities to progress onto a higher apprenticeship or advance to gain a degree level qualification.

Engineering Apprentice

A four- year academic and on the job apprenticeship to achieve the Food & Drink Multi-skilled Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship including the OAL Level 3 Diploma in Food & Drink Maintenance Engineering. On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to apply to join our engineering team on a permanent basis. Starting salary £20,500 increasing every 6 months by £2,500.

Annual Salary: £20,500

Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday, Whilst at training provider 8:00 – 16:00

Apprentice Product Design & Development Technician

A Design Engineer studies, researches, and develops ideas for new products and the methods used to make them. The Design Engineer will be working on a wide range of bespoke rotating machinery, couplings and test beds. These must be functional, reliable and safe to use, whilst ensuring that they are as cost effective and efficient as possible.

Annual Salary: £15,969

Hours: 37 per week, Monday – Thursday 8:30 – 17:15, Friday 8:30 – 12:30

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentice

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your role is to provide a safe, high-quality, cost-effective maintenance service to site assets including preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance ensuring achievement of Factory Key Performance Indicators, targets and budgets.

Annual Salary: £19,000

Hours: 36 per week, Monday – Friday

Closing Date: 1st June 2025
