Information & Requirements

Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technicians work as part of a team to provide technical support and expertise for all areas of engineering and manufacturing functions.

These include, but are not limited to: communications software, analysis, measurement, process control, technical sales and marketing support, quality control, engineering drawing, inspection, product development and innovation.

Career Paths

This qualification could lead you to roles such as Measurement & Control Technician, Quality Control Inspector, Production Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Metrology Inspector.

Sectors include Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Metal goods and Other Transport Equipment.

Your employer may offer opportunities to progress onto a higher apprenticeship or advance to gain a degree level qualification.

Apprentice Process Engineer

Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Manage KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success.

Annual Salary: £15,213

Hours: 38.75 per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 12pm. Whilst at training provider

Engineering Apprentice

A four- year academic and on the job apprenticeship to achieve the Food & Drink Multi-skilled Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship including the OAL Level 3 Diploma in Food & Drink Maintenance Engineering. On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to apply to join our engineering team on a permanent basis. Starting salary £20,500 increasing every 6 months by £2,500.

Annual Salary: £20,500

Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday, Whilst at training provider 8:00 – 16:00

Apprentice Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

The role will include day to day electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification, planned preventative maintenance activities and process improvements.

Annual Salary: £15,213

Hours: 38.75 per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 12pm. Whilst at training provider
