Subject to demand, MGTS will be offering the opportunity the study for a BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in General Engineering from September 2026.
The programme is designed for aspiring and experienced engineering professionals looking to develop advanced technical knowledge, industry skills, and leadership capability within the engineering sector. This higher-level qualification combines practical engineering application with academic development, preparing learners for progression into senior technical roles, management positions, or further university study.

- Delivered over 2 academic years

COURSE FEES
Total course cost – £7,400 + vat (£3,700 + vat per year)
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
All learners will undertake a 12-week probationary review period to assess suitability for the programme and readiness for higher-level academic study. Following successful completion of the probationary period, learners who choose to continue on programme will commit to the full two-year course fees, regardless of any future withdrawal from the programme.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants will normally require a Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC in Engineering or equivalent Level 4 qualification. Applicants with substantial engineering industry experience and relevant prior learning may also be considered.
All applicants will complete: An admission assessment | An academic interview and review prior to enrolment.
