MGTS is an innovative and resourceful leader in providing workforce development solutions through education, training and assessment. We offer apprentice training as well as a full range of commercial courses. An exciting opportunity is available to join MGTS as a Housekeeper at our site in Gulson Road, Coventry. The role contains a diverse range of responsibilities supporting our customers, visitors and staff. The role requires a friendly and organised person to keep our training rooms, offices and facilities clean and stocked and to serve refreshments to our course delegates. Additionally to meet and greet any ad-hoc visitors.

This role is in person, 5 days per week at our Coventry site and is part-time (approx. 30 hours per week). An early start is required (7:30am).

Candidate requirements:
  • The ability to have an organised approach to a varying workload and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be friendly and welcoming and develop good working relationships
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to keep calm under pressure, prioritise and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in food handling, and office cleaning desirable but not essential
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean commercial training classrooms, corridors, and staff areas to a high standard
  • Clean and sanitise toilets and washrooms, including replenishing supplies
  • Replenish consumables (e.g., soap, paper towels) as required
  • Ensure the coffee and water machines are clean, stocked and operating well
  • Set out refreshments 3 times per day, depending on course bookings (biscuits, lunch etc.)
  • Set out refreshments for ad-hoc meetings
  • Clear up after refreshments and prepare break out areas for the following day
  • Assist in welcoming visitors and delegates when required
  • Monitor stock levels of catering and cleaning supplies and order when required
  • Accept and manage deliveries in a professional manner
  • Follow health and safety guidelines for cleaning products and equipment
  • Follow guidelines for waste disposal
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
  • Support other reasonable tasks as directed by the site manager or supervisor
Salary and Benefits:

A salary of £12.21 per hour is offered to the successful candidate, together with 25 days annual holiday, plus 8 statutory days (pro–rata) and pension scheme. Private medical insurance is available following completion of a probationary period.

Working Hours:

Approximately 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Exact hours to be agreed with the successful candidate, but must be every weekday and include a 7.30am start.
