MGTS is an innovative and resourceful leader in the provision of workforce development solutions through education, training and assessment providing apprentice training as well as a full range of commercial courses.

Due to continued growth in engineering apprenticeships and commercial courses, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and diligent Administrator, to provide efficient and friendly support as part of the Customer Engagement Team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day administration duties within the Customer Engagement Team, primarily dealing with apprentice recruitment. We offer a service that matches applicants for apprenticeships in our Centres to employer vacancies. The role involves processing applications, communicating with customers, arranging interviews with potential apprentices, representing MGTS at external careers events and general office work.

Role requirements:
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A diligent and calm under pressure approach to work
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word
  • Self-starter who is proactive and can work on own initiative
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Welcoming telephone manner
  • Full Driving licence
 Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of apprentice applicants and process form application to offer
  • Liaise with employers and candidates to schedule interviews
  • Offer advice and guidance to applicants
  • Attend careers events at schools and colleges
  • Maintain an organised system for keeping track of workload
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration within the team and customers you work with
  • Take ownership of work and own diary
Salary and Benefits:

An annual salary between £25,000 and £27,000 FTE dependent upon experience, is offered to the successful candidate, together with 25 days annual holiday, plus 8 statutory days, pension and private medical insurance.

Working Hours:

Approximately 30 hours per week, to be discussed with the successful candidate. Weekdays only. Office based.
