Information & Requirements

As a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician you ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost within high value manufacturing environments.

Typically the work would cover a broad range of duties including: Fault Diagnosis, Pneumatic, Electrical and Process Control Equipment, Installation, Commissioning and Testing.

Career Paths

This apprenticeship trains you for a variety of maintenance roles such as a Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Electronics, Fluid Power, Lift Services, Plant & Systems.

You could also move into Technical Sales, Maintenance Team Management and Contract Management.

Your employer may offer opportunities to progress onto a higher apprenticeship or advance to gain a degree level qualification.

Mechatronics Maintenance Engineering Apprentice

Reporting to the Manufacturing, Site and Maintenance Manager the Maintenance Apprentice Technician will be responsible for learning all aspects of the factory facilities, layout and machinery including the automated machinery in the Autostore warehouse inline with the mechatronic training given at MTGS.

Annual Salary: £19,760

Hours: 38 per week, Monday – Friday

Technical Production Engineer Apprentice

This is an excellent opportunity to join world leaders in design and manufacture of refuse collection vehicles. Dennis Eagle is committed to developing their next generation of engineering talent and this Level 3 apprenticeship offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a broad range of practical and theoretical skills.

Annual Salary: £13,102

Hours: 37 per week, Monday – Thursday 8am until 4pm. Friday 8am until 12pm.
