Information & Requirements

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technicians will maintain the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment. They will work on various types of plant and equipment commonly found throughout Engineering Industry sectors.

They will be responsible for the quality of their own work, possibly others’ and ensuring the work is completed safely, meets stakeholder quality, time and budget requirements, whilst maintaining the efficient running of plant and equipment.

Career Paths

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technicians may work as Electrical Technicians; Mechanical Technicians; Control & Instrumentation Technicians; Electrical System and Process Control Technicians; Electromechanical Technicians and Plant Operations Technicians.

To support the business and operational requirements of modern integrated engineered production plant and services, Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technicians will apply a range of conventional skills and knowledge to undertake engineering activities.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentice

The purpose of the apprenticeship scheme is to develop a highly qualified and trained Engineering Technician. On successful completion of the four year programme, the individual will be awarded the Apprenticeship Standard for an Engineering Technician (Level 3) and a Higher National Certificate in Engineering (Level 4).

Annual Salary: £17,888

Hours: 36 per week, Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm. Fridays 8:00am – 12:00pm Whilst at training provider

Hours: 36.25 per week, Monday – Friday

Engineering Apprentice

HYMATIC Engineering (part of the Honeywell global organisation) is looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our highly skilled team. Throughout our Apprenticeship Scheme you will work alongside qualified and experienced Honeywell Business Professionals and Engineers to develop your engineering skills whilst undertaking part time academic studies.

Annual Salary: £15,700

Hours: 38 per week, Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Fridays 8:00am – 12:00pm
