Engineering Fitters produce complex high value, low volume components or assemblies in full or part, using machines, equipment or systems, to the required specification. 

They will interpret drawings/specifications, plan their work and be required to check against quality standards and make adjustments as required based on their knowledge.

Career Paths

Engineering Fitters may typically pursue careers in mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, pipe fitting or instrumentation bias or operate across multiple disciplines depending on the type of products or assemblies of the business sector.

Annual Salary: £19,000

Hours: 36 per week, Monday – Friday (Whilst at MGTS)

Apprentice Engineer

Annual Salary: £19,000

Hours: 36 per week, Monday – Friday (Whilst at MGTS)

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

This is a 4 year apprenticeship in which you will be working towards a level 3 qualification to become a Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer.

Annual Salary: £11,482

Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Sunday (5 days out of 7)
