Engineering Fitters produce complex high value, low volume components or assemblies in full or part, using machines, equipment or systems, to the required specification. 

They will interpret drawings/specifications, plan their work and be required to check against quality standards and make adjustments as required based on their knowledge.

Engineering Fitters may typically pursue careers in mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, pipe fitting or instrumentation bias or operate across multiple disciplines depending on the type of products or assemblies of the business sector.

Apprentice Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer Apprentice at Nasmyth Henton you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in various aspects of quality engineering. You will contribute to quality assurance processes, assist in identifying areas of improvement, and participate in the implementation of quality control measures.

Annual Salary: £12,130.08

Hours: 37 per week, Mon – Thu – 8am – 4.45pm Friday 8am – 12.00am

Apprentice Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

As a CNC Machine Operator Apprentice in Nasmyth Henton, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation of computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines used in the manufacturing process of aerospace components. You will learn how to set up, edit, operate and monitor CNC machines to create precision parts according to set specifications.

Annual Salary: £12,130.08

Hours: 37 per week, Mon – Thu – 8am – 5pm Friday 8am – 11:30am
