MGTS ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE COURSE ACHIEVES NATIONAL ACCREDITATION
Lee Weatherly, MGTS CEO, is delighted to report that delegates successfully completing the MGTS electrical maintenance programmes will now gain the EAL Certificate of Verified Achievement. He explained that the electrical maintenance training programme has rapidly developed into a suite of three distinct one week modules. Working in partnership with Molson Coors, Britvic and Kraft, MGTS has developed and enhanced the following training programmes:
Module One ‘Safe Working and Isolation of Industrial Electrical Equipment’
Module Two ‘Fault Finding of Motor Control Circuits and Equipment’
Module Three ‘Interrogation of PLC’s and Inverter Drives to Aid Fault Finding and Adjustment
Lee is particularly pleased to emphasise the importance that modules can be completed individually to meet specialist needs. However, this range of modules also provides excellent technical progression. These modules have been designed and developed in line with the needs of single or multi-skilled maintenance engineers and technicians linked into the achievement of 11 clearly defined learning benefits.
The achievement of each benefit is reinforced by the delegates successfully completing a range of technical assignments. Each assignment is subject to internal marking and independent verification leading to the award of the Certificate of Verified Achievement. Lee suggested this was a key feature that can be transferred to the employer’s benefit of acquiring certified evidence of engineer / technician competence.
