ILM Level 2 Apprenticeship in Team Leading

INTRODUCTION

This apprenticeship programme has been developed to provide an understanding of the roles, functions and responsibilities of a new or aspiring team leader, as well as developing practical motivational and day-to-day leadership activities. Learners also have the opportunity to develop their interpersonal skills to improve their handling of relationships in both everyday work and life situations.

Day 1: Induction and Communications

§ Initial Assessment of Communication, Number & ICT

Day2: Develop Yourself as a Team Leader

Day 3: Planning and Monitoring

Day 4: Motivating the Work Team

Day 5: Maintain a Healthy & Safe Working Environment

Day 6: Leading the Work Team

On-Site Assessment Visit

Training days are delivered at approximately 6 week intervals to enable delegates to consolidate the learning and gather evidence for their NVQ portfolios which will be assessed throughout the programme.

On successful completion of all elements of this programme, candidates will gain dual certification of ILM Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Team Leading and ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading in addition to certificates for functional skills in Maths, English and ICT.

Note: Depending on individual learner identified training needs, additional Information Technology training may have to be arranged.
