Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Management

INTRODUCTION

This apprenticeship programme has been developed for first line managers with a varied range of responsibilities. It will develop their management and interpersonal competencies and enable them to manage their teams more effectively. This programme will also provide the opportunity to raise their Maths, English and ICT capabilities.

Day 1 : Induction and Initial Assessment

§ Initial Assessment of Communication, Number & , ICT

Day 2: Understanding the Communication Process in the Workplace

Day 3: Developing Self as Manager

Day 4: Introduction to Leadership and Building the Team

Day 5: Achieving Objectives through Time Management

Day 6: Developing Yourself and Others

Day 7: Motivating to Perform in the Workplace

Day 8: Managing Health and Safety at Work

Day 9: Managing Conflict in the Workplace

Day 10: Solving Problems and Making Decisions

Day 11: Understand and Planning Change in the Workplace

Training days are delivered at approximately 6 week intervals to enable delegates to consolidate the learning and gather evidence for their NVQ portfolios which will be assessed throughout the programme.

On successful completion of all elements of this programme, candidates will gain dual certification of ILM Level 3 Certificate in Management and ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management in addition to certificates for Level 2 functional skills in Maths, English and ICT.

Note: Depending on individual learner identified training needs, additional Information Technology training may have to be arranged.
