COSHH Essentials
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE:
The course is designed for all Personnel who are in contact with or use hazardous substances at work and are required to understand the related regulations.
PROGRAMME BENEFITS:
By the end of the programme participants will be able to:
- Review their own work activities in view of compliance to the legal requirements of COSHH regulations
- Contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in the work place
- Identify hazards and risks associated with hazardous substances, apply controls and perform COSHH assessments

Delegates will be introduced to the regulations and understand:
- The forms and classification of hazardous substances
- Factors to be considered in COSHH Assessment
- Use and limitations of Workplace Exposure Limits
- Acute and Chronic health effects
- Control measures
- Basic requirements for disposal of waste and effluent
- Personal Protective Equipment
