Power Press Safety Training
Who Should Participate:
Those who work on power presses, such as Toolmakers and Toolsetters, and others who may set, adjust or try out tools in power presses. The course is designed to give up-to-date statutory information on the latest legislation - Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, as applied to power presses.
Who Should Participate:
By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
- Establish a sound knowledge of power press functions
- Become up-to-date with current legal demands
- Develop a positive approach to safe working methods and procedures

- Recognition of Possible Causes of Accidents at the Power Press to both Toolsetter and Operator, due to particular features of Power Presses
- Tool Design and its Influence on Safety
- The Work of the Toolsetter and His/Her Responsibilities in the Safe Use of Power Presses and Safe Methods of Working
- Recognition of Possible Causes of Accidents at the Power Press to both Toolsetter and Operator, due to particular features of Power Presses

Note: Sufficient practical instruction should be given to individuals on the particular presses used in their workplace to supplement the course and ensure adequate experience is gained in their proper use. NA Certificate of Attendance will be issued to delegates.
