ILM Certificate in First Line Management

A blended learning programme tailored to satisfy ILM requirements and meet personal training needs and availability. 

Duration, dates and costs are subject to individual learning plans with units selected from available training days and distance learning workbooks.

Who should participate:

Those who have achieved the Award in FIrst Line Management and wish to develop their management knowledge and skills further.

Programme benefits:

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

• Develop skills, knowledge and techniques to enable them to become more effective first line managers

• Implement a significant improvement opportunity in their organisation by completion of the work-based assignments and project

Day 1 - Induction and Understanding the Communication Process in the Work Place

Day 2 - Introduction to Leadership

Day 3 - Building the Team

Day 4 - Achieving Objectives through Time Management

Day 5 - Developing Yourself and Others

Day 6 - Motivating to Perform in the Work Place

Day 7 - Managing Health & Safety in the Workplace

Day 8 - Managing Conflict in the Workplace

Day 9 - Solving Problems and Making Decisions

Day 10 - Understanding and Planning Change in the Work Place

ON SITE NVQ ASSESSMENT VISITS

Professional development review workshops

A series of 6 half day workshops enabling delegates to discuss progress and identify any potential issues with their learning. A further 2 workshops will be available for delegates to discuss their projects and undertake a mock presentation.

Programme assessment

Successful completion of the thirteen training segments, 10 self study workbooks, 5 work-based assignments and a 2000 word work-based project will result in participants being awarded the ILM Certificate in First Line Management.
