Gerald was delighted to have his apprentice achievements recognised at the recent MGTS apprentice awards evening which was held in the Community Space Area at the Ricoh Arena. It was announced by Lee Weatherly, CEO of MGTS, that Gerald had been selected as the highest performing apprentice from a pool of over fifty Advanced Apprentice Graduates. Lee explained that this is a prestigious award where the selection criteria is based on employer recommendations as well as MGTS management team. To be recognised as achieving at a higher level above all the other Graduates is a significant achievement. Commenting on this achievement Gerald said “I am very proud to have been nominated and to have received this award particularly as it recognises all the hard work throughout the four years of my apprenticeship. This award has made all the effort worthwhile!”
 
Recipients of this award area also nominated for the EEF Outstanding Achievements by a Final Year Apprentice Award.
 
Jan Harding of Dennis Eagle said “the company are absolutely thrilled with Gerald’s success in winning this highly acclaimed award and believe it pays tribute to the drive and commitment he has shown towards his work and studies during his apprenticeship training”. Jan added “we are sure this will inspire him to strive for further success within the company and the MSc he has recently embarked upon”.
 
Giles Lawton, MGTS Chairman, presented 10 awards recognising apprentice and employer achievements. The awards and winners are as follows:
