Year 1

• 16-24 weeks training in MGTS Technical Academy or other approved centres
• Completion of NVQ Level 2 - Performing Engineering Operations
• Key Skills - Level 2
• Further Education - EAL Internediate certificate in Engineering & Technology

Year 2

• Development and training in:
• Assembly
• Machine Cells
• Maintenance and other areas connected with first appointment
• Possibly complete skill specific NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Manufacture

The Outcome

• Typical first appointment/job upon completion of training:
• Assembly
• Machining
• Maintenance

• Successful completion of an Apprenticeship may offer the opportunity for progression onto the Advanced Apprenticeship programme
