As an advanced apprentice you can be involved in producing anything, from designing the smallest part in the engine of a formula one car to manufacturing components for a brain scanner which spots illnesses before they kill. Engineering is about working in the real world, making things that make a difference.

People in engineering are practical, they design make and improve things, little things like electronic circuits and big things like airports and bridges. You won’t spend much of your working day on your own. People in engineering work in teams where everybody plays a part and everybody’s voice is heard.
